Mountains Calling | Provia 100f XP | #FilmFriday

I'm not sure what it is, but I have an affinity for cross-processing Provia....to the point that I have never even bothered to have it processed as E-6.  Is that strange?  Am I missing out?  I may never know. Due to my love, I've amassed a stockpile of Provia (100F, 400 and 1600).  I keep telling myself that one day I will shoot a roll with the intention of normal processing, but in the back of my mind, I'm framing each shot with the cross-processed vision. I'm swooned by the vivid colors, the punchy contrast, the strong grain, and the distinct, painterly look.

These images were shot in the summer of 2017, between a trip to the Great Smoky Mountains and a morning in my mom's flower garden in Mississippi.  As expected, the colors are vivid and the contrast punchy, producing striking mountain views and electric florals.

I feel incredibly lucky to call Tennessee home.

This roll of Ilford Delta 100 was shot within a mile of my home, some of it even in my yard.  Here's a glimpse of Tennessee as seen in my neighborhood. Feelin' Fruity | Fuji Superia 400

I haven't taken many photographs lately, and I haven't shot a roll of film in longer than I care to admit.  If not for the never-ending bag of mystery rolls, I wouldn't really have much to share here. Luckily, I continue to (slowly) forge through the bag of mystery film, and occasionally, blog the images here. I suppose the bright side to not shooting much lately, is that I'm getting a chance to catch up on processing.

Today's share is a roll of fresh Fujifilm Superia 400, shot on my trusty Nikon F100.

And since it's primarily comprised of a week's worth of produce and I'm in a bit of an emotional funk, we'll just call it "Feelin' Fruity".

Because....who doesn't come home from grocery shopping and photograph all of the produce?
